Ian McKellen must be one of the friendliest actors in Hollywood, so when he was recently invited to participate in a private discussion with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, he was elated. The X-Men The star decided to check his Ukraine contacts to see if this could be legit, and they encouraged the actor to answer the call. McKellen would go on to chat with who he assumed was the Ukrainian president, but he soon found out that this was a huge catfish. The actor took to Twitter and issued a statement about the event, and it turned out that all this was a big joke of Russian comedians. You can check out the statement below.
“I am not a politician, so a few weeks ago I was surprised to receive a letter apparently coming from the Ukrainian embassy in London, inviting me to participate in a “private discussion with President Zelensky”. Contacts in Ukraine encouraged me to answer the call.” “At the appointed time, I found myself talking, apparently, with the President of Ukraine. As it soon turned out, it was not Zelensky or any Ukrainian official, but one of two Russians who call themselves comedians. McKellen is no longer his X-Men For a while, but the Marvel Cinematic Universe is expanding and it’s cast longtime actor friend Patrick Stewart in the role of Professor Charles Xavier for Doctor Strange in a multiverse of madness.
